Surface Preparation
Surface should be solid and leveled, dry, dust-free and clean thoroughly of all kinds of oil, grease, rust and other residues that will weaken the adherence and there should be no loose particles on the surface. Damaged surfaces with a depth of 5 to 50 mm should be repaired with Mortex MT-30 two days in advance. If the temperature of the is above 25°C, the surface should be moistened. Application of GRAMATEK BetonContact Primer is advised before using Gramaflex GR-300, in order to increase the adhesion strength. Gramaflex GR-300 is applied on gypsumboard, gypsum-plaster, gas concrete blocks, lime stuff and chipboard with high absorbency.
Product Preparation
Gramaflex GR-300 is added slowly to 6 – 8 liters of clean water and mixed with a 400-600 rpm mixer for 3-5 minutes until a uniform and lump-free mixture is obtained. After resting for 3-5 minutes and mixing again for 30 seconds, the material is ready for use.
Application Method
A layer of 1 mm thickness of Gramaflex GR-300 is applied to the application surface with the flat side of the trowel. Gramaflex GR-300 is applied in one direction in such a way that a uniform thickness is obtained with the toothed side of the trowel to an area that can be covered with tiles within 30 minutes. For the bonding of tiles or ceramics with different thicknesses, it is recommended to apply 1 mm thick mortar under each tile or ceramic in order to cover the defects on the application surface. Application is completed by leaving the recommended joint gap according to the appropriate tile or ceramic size.Joint fillers should be used to fill the left joint gaps. Joint filler can be applied after approximately 24 hours.
