Surface Preparation
Duoplast DP-22 should be applied on top GRAMATEK Fino FN-20 Fine Leveling Mortar. The surface should be dry, clean, sound and free of dust, oil, dirt or adhesion preventive materials. Application surface should be moistened with water if necessary. After the surface cleaning, it is advised to prime the surface with GRAMATEK BetonContact or GRAMATEK Acryflex Primer as a single layer to increase the adhesion strength.
Product Preparation
15kg Duoplast DP-22 is slowly added into approximately 5 – 6 liters of clean water and mixed with a low-speed mixer until no lumps remain and a homogenous paste is obtained. The prepared mortar is rested for 5-10 minutes to mature and mixed again for 1-2 minutes. The mixture in the container should be consumed within 2-3 hours.
Application Method
Application should be performed throughout the surface with equal thickness with the help of a stainless-steel trowel or special spatula. The material is applied in 2 or more layers to a total thickness that is no more than 5mm. The application time between the layers should be not less than 3-4 hours. After the putty has discharged its water, the surface should be smoothened with a clean stainless-steel trowel and the final corrections should be made with a damp sponge. If a smooth surface cannot be obtained, when completely dry, the final layer can be sanded with fine sandpaperafter 12 hours.
