Surface Preparation
The surface should be dry, clean, free of dust, oil, dirt or adhesion preventive materials.
Product Preparation
25 kg Unoterm GR-55 Adhesive and Netting for Thermal Insulating Boards is added into 6 – 6.5 lt. of clean water and mixed with a low-speed mixer in a way that there is no lump. The prepared homogeneous mortar is rested for 5-10 minutes to mature and then is mixed again for 1-2 minutes. The mixture in the container should be consumed within 2 hours.
Application Method
At least 24 hours after the doweling of the Thermal Insulation Boards, the first layer of Unoterm GR-55 of 2-3 mm thickness is applied on the boards with a trowel. When the applied mortar is still wet, the Plaster Net is pressed from top to bottom and stretched and embedded in the mortar. To prevent cracking, the net is overlapped by 10 cm at the joints. After approximately 6 hours, the surface is moistened and covered with a second layer of Unoterm GR-55 (2-3 mm thick) and smoothened for plastering. Depending on the weather conditions and application thickness, it is necessary to wait 2-3 days for plastering with GRAMATEK Acryflex Plaster or GRAMATEK Acrysylil Plaster. If the air temperature is high after the application is completed, moisten the surface until the cement sets.
